Nozzle is a more important part of the laser cutting machine, in the laser cutting process, the nozzle is responsible for maintaining the distance between the laser head and the workpiece, guiding the auxiliary gas through the workpiece to be cut smoothly, and the formation of high pressure in the nozzle outlet to accelerate the cutting speed, take away the slag, and protect the laser head internal lens. The choice of nozzle directly determines the quality of laser cutting.

Nozzle type: according to the use of different gases, generally divided into single-layer nozzles and double-layer nozzles, single-layer nozzles for melting cutting, the use of nitrogen as an auxiliary gas for cutting stainless steel, aluminum alloys, etc.; double-layer nozzles for oxidative cutting, the use of oxygen as an auxiliary gas for cutting carbon steel.
Nozzle size selection: the nozzle diameter size determines the shape of the gas flow into the kerf and gas diffusion area, thus affecting the stability of laser cutting. Theoretically, the thicker the workpiece is, the larger the nozzle diameter should be selected, and the larger the gas pressure and flow rate should be, in order to cut the ideal processing surface.

Different power nozzle selection:
Laser power ≤ 6000w
For cutting carbon steel, use double-layer nozzle, Φ1.0-5.0mm.
For cutting stainless steel, use single-layer WPCT nozzle.
Laser power ≥6000w.
Cutting carbon steel, 10-25mm, using high-speed double-layer nozzle, Φ1.2-1.8mm; single-layer fan nozzle Φ1.2-1.8mm.
For cutting stainless steel, use WPCT single nozzle.
What should we do if the nozzle is hot?
1、Check whether the cooling equipment is turned on, turn on the cooling equipment.
2、Check whether the focusing optical path is correct, adjust the focusing optical path.
3、Check whether the nozzle is blocked, clean the nozzle.
4、To avoid prolonged continuous work, regularly let the equipment cooling.
