So what I want to introduce today is the common sense of laser cutting machine when cutting stainless steel: for the cutting of stainless steel, there are roughly three processing methods. They are the processing methods where the auxiliary gas is oxygen, nitrogen or air. These are the types of auxiliary gas selected according to the processing purpose. Of course, because different gases have different oxidation levels on the cutting surface, they will also have a certain impact on the cutting speed. For example, when using oxygen, it is necessary to operate under the condition that edge oxidation does not matter; when nitrogen has been used to obtain a non-oxidized and burr-free edge, no further treatment is required. At this time, it is also possible to coat the surface of the sheet with an oil film to obtain a relatively good perforation effect without reducing the processing quality. Air is actually close to the processing characteristics of nitrogen, but its cutting surface is rougher than nitrogen, and the effect of slag sticking is also average, which is not as good as using nitrogen. After oxidation, the surface hardness of the cut surface is about twice the original, but the range is small and the range is small. It is also due to the existence of this characteristic, so in the non-oxidation cutting with good surface roughness, the rough grinding of the cut surface is not easy, while the processed surface using oxygen is not easy to grind.
