Why Does The Protective Lens Of Laser Cutting Machine Always Have Water Mist?

In the use of laser cutting machine on the way we often find that the protective lens of the laser cutting machine will appear water mist, what is the reason for this? Let's take a look at it!

In the use of laser cutting machine for cutting, auxiliary gas is essential! Which we commonly use oxygen and nitrogen, of course, the higher the purity of the gas, the better the cutting quality will be. There are also many customers who want to save costs by using air cutting, however, the cutting process is always water mist on the protective lens, cutting quality is very poor, why is this?

First of all, let's popularize the role of auxiliary gas:

1. In order to blow away the residual slag, to achieve good cutting results.

2. The use of gas to blow away the metal slag at the same time to protect the lens, to avoid slag attached to the lens, affecting the cutting quality.

3. It can effectively make the cutting surface smooth and clean, and achieve the effect of no burr and no hanging slag.

4. Can react with the material to increase the cutting speed, such as the use of oxygen can achieve the effect of combustion.

Therefore, in order to achieve a better cutting effect, the auxiliary gas requirements are higher! Although air can be used as an auxiliary gas, but because the air contains water and oil, if not treated, will cause lens contamination, cutting head instability, so that the cutting effect and quality of substandard consequences. Therefore, when air cutting is used, it is necessary to equip the fiber laser cutting machine with a cold dryer, which is a good solution to this problem. Cold dryer can be compressed air forced cooling to the required dew point temperature below, which contains a large amount of water vapor, oil mist condensed into liquid droplets, through the gas-liquid separation, discharged by the drain out of the machine, so that the compressed air dry.
